Acouwood believes in wood as a sustainable building material and we believe in wood’s potential to provide a natural, eco-friendly alternative building material. Therefore, our mission is to optimize acoustic solutions in wood buildings to increase the use of wood in construction worldwide to help our society grow and adapt to a circular economy.

We strive to provide you with all the calculations needed to ensure that your completed building fulfils national regulations and standards regarding sound insulation and noise levels. We are in close collaboration with academia to ensure that we are using the most effective and modern methods of measuring sound insulation. We want to refine the acoustic solutions for the wooden building industry to assure acoustically satisfactory, cost efficient and environmentally friendly solutions.
The team today
Today, the team has expanded in Sweden and we have offices in Malmö, Stockholm and Umeå. Internationally we have expanded our presence with offices in Switzerland, and France.
With our increased skilful team, we ensure consistent quality services, helping us achieve our mission.

Our story
Acouwood was founded by Klas Hagberg in response to the rising demand for sustainable acoustics.

After one year in business, Rikard Öqvist joined as a partner to address growing demand. Since then, we are still growing with more employees.
With urban populations expected to grow by 2.5 billion by 2050, noise levels will increase, highlighting the need for quality sound in buildings.
Acouwood aims to meet future demands while promoting eco-friendly designs and healthy living spaces.
