Kilströmskaj, Karlskrona - Sweden 🇸🇪

In the heart of Karlskrona archipelago in Sweden, this project comprises three buildings from three to six stories and it was finished in December 2020. It is a CLT building with high acoustic performance, translating to Swedish sound class B standards or, in acoustic figures, DnT,w+C50-3150 ≥ 56 dB and L´nT,w+CI,50-2500 ≤ 52 dB. Our mission was to predict sound insulation, provide detailed design of structural components and junctions, and finally to carry out verification measurements. The developer is “Svensk Bostadsutveckling AB”, the Architect is Wingårdhs and the building contractor, JSB.
