In Ekerö, outside Stockholm, Sweden, this beautifully located CLT building is built. It is two five storey buildings, finished in 2020. It is a CLT building with normal to high acoustic performance, following at least the Swedish minimum requirements, in acoustic figures, DnT,w+C50-3150 ≥ 52 dB and L´nT,w+CI,50-2500 ≤ 56 dB. Our mission was to carry out design of the CLT structure with a raised floor system, predict sound insulation of the façade due to ferry traffic. Hence, we predicted the sound insulation of the structural components and flanking transmission through junctions, and finally e carried out verification measurements. The developer and architect are Nordblick Homes and the building contractor is Serneke. The structural components were provided by Skonto.
