A short walk from Kolströms canal in Värmdö, in a scenic and culturally historic environment, “Pilhamns gårdar” have taken shape. A small-scale care and nursing home with 70 places that has been completed since 2024. “Pilhamns gårdar” consist of two buildings of two stories, connected by a common area. There are a total of 70 apartments in sizes of 28 or 31 square meters. The apartments are equipped with a care bed, a basic mattress, and a bedside table. Residents furnish the apartments with their own furniture. Technical rooms are located in the attic above the second floor.
Acouwood AB has been commissioned to carry out design in all stages for this care and nursing home erected with an environmentally friendly wood stud structure. Finally we did all verification measurements.
